The students of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, got the golden opportunity to engage themselves in a real life business project under The School Enterprise Challenge, run by Teach A Man To Fish, is a global business start-up Awards Programme for schools around the world. 

The entrepreneurs are not just running the business with the motive only to earn profit but to help Planet Earth by recycling, reducing and reusing.

Demonstration and Celebration

Festivals are time to celebrate, rekindle family traditions and also reasons to shop!

On the festival, the sister ties a thread (rakhi) to her brother's wrist. In return, he promises to shield her from troubles and be by her side always. And let's not forget, the lovely gifts. 

Therefore, celebrating Rakshabandhan, selling the items prepared by us to the students,their parents and school staff members, we made the best use of the opportunity and turned the event out as a great success. 

Our First exhibition: the beginning

We now may be in for a real challenge when we decide to take the plunge and become a business owner. The stage is often set in the beginning.

The invitation for showcasing the hard work and creativity of young entrepreneurs in the school premises for selling rakhi's, bags, cushion covers, mats, baskets, aprons etc. made out of used clothes.

Fab Retreat: Re-treating Fabrics

We believe in getting as much use as possible from everything and think that as long as machinery, or anything else, could be cajoled into operation, it should be kept; to do otherwise it is wasteful.

Bagging up clothes isn’t a particularly fun activity. But making crafts is, and there are plenty of crafts we can create from old clothing. There are plenty of mind-blowing ways to reuse old clothing.

The business plan is a tool designed to help you find and explore opportunities. It also provides you with a way to analyze potential opportunities continuously.What we do is making and selling craft items like cushion covers, table cloth, rugs etc. made from used clothes.

Entrepreneurship Motive

The sweet independence of being your own boss is what entrepreneurship is all about. That’s why kids and entrepreneurial-ism are such an excellent match. It practically comes natural to them.

Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business. It is the core foundation for the great businesses.
Thus, building the next generation leaders is our motto, inculcating marketing and managerial skills in children. 

Our Social Motive

Women's economic empowerment refers to the ability for women to enjoy their rights to control and benefit from resources, assets, income and their own time, as well as the ability to manage risk and improve their economic status and well being.

Our school runs a project named SANGINI-the sewing center, which empowers the underprivileged women to learn stitching and  tailoring so that they can develop the skill in themselves and earn a living.
This Sewing center acts as a resource center for our Fab Retreat project.

The Logo - Our identification

‘Fab-Retreat’, a unique start up by the empowered minds and energized souls of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi and Sangini- The Sewing Center, which is a skill development programmer (with free cutting and tailoring classes) for empowering economically weak women, provides the base for recycling. 

The logo symbolizes the retreating of fabric with the basic equipment - scissors, sewing machine, buttons, sewing needle holder, mannequin,  which have been used over ages. These tools provide perfection and accuracy to create something contemporary

example- stylish handbags, decorative, notebook covers, aprons, cushion covers etc.
